The P&C brings families, carers and community members together to support students, school services and community initiatives.
The Strathpine West State School Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is a welcoming, voluntary, not-for-profit organisation that works in partnership with the school. Guided by its Constitution, the P&C supports the interests, wellbeing and ongoing development of Strathpine West State School.
What the P&C Association does
The P&C works closely with the Principal to strengthen the school community through:
- business initiatives
- fundraising activities
- volunteer support
- projects that benefit students throughout the year
Meetings and Participation
General meetings are held each month for families and community members to stay informed, share ideas and help shape key P&C matters.
When: Second Tuesday of each month, starting at 5.45pm
Where: Staff Room, Administration Building
Purpose: To discuss priorities, share idea and vote on key P&C matters
All parents, carers and interested community members are warmly welcome to attend and take part in discussions.
The Annual General Meeting is typically held in February, when the P&C Executive is elected for the year ahead.

P&C-Operated Services
The P&C also supports families by overseeing the financial and business operations of the:
- Tuckshop
- Uniform Shop
- Club SWOSH - Outside School Hours Care
These services rely on the commitment of P&C Association volunteers. Without this valuable support, the school may need to outsource services to commercial providers, which may reduce the funds returned to the school community.
