Principal Awards
These awards, held at the end of both Semester 1 and 2, give us the opportunity to recognise students who are working diligently each and every day. The two criteria for a student to receive a Principal's Award are based on their effort and behaviour. In order to receive a Principal's Award, the following effort and behaviour ratings need to be met:
Students in Years 1 & 2 must receive either High or Very High in every subject area (including PE & Music) for both Effort and Behaviour on their most recent Semester Report Card
Students in Years 3 & 6 must receive either Very High or Excellent in every subject area (including Instrumental Music, PE, LOTE and Music) for both Effort and Behaviour on their most recent Semester Report Card
As there are no effort and/or behaviour ratings on Prep report cards, students in the Prep Years will receive a Principal's Award based on teacher selection of those students who have consistently displayed a high level of effort and behaviour this semester.
Our Principal's Awards acknowledges that not every student is able to achieve at a high academic level but that every student is capable of demonstrating their best effort and behaviour at school. We remind our students every day that they have a 'job' at school and that job is to be a learner. We look forward to celebrating with these students at the end of each semester.
